My kids just looked particularly cute so I made them pose for the camera. I just took a video of Amelia dancing to katy perry's firework. It will rock your minds. I can't wait to figure out how to post it.... I might be calling you punjab

I promise my family is the best ever.

All the memories of my dad I hold dear. He was phenomenal. Honestly, I can't say enough about his generosity and love. He would help ANYONE. When he died I was just 16 and didn't really get to see him as an adult. I would have asked him so many questions. Like, "What would you do different?" "What's the most important?" "How did you deal with your trials?" "How did you parent us?"  etc. I am blessed with siblings (adam/luke/mary) who have helped me come to understand him from an adult's perspective. He was so amazing. I am beginning to realize how much his children are like him. I have very loving and generous siblings, and I know it comes straight from our parents. (yes mom, you are pretty good too.) thanks.

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home...

We get bored day in and day out, compounded by the fact that we live in a TINY rental without a safe place for the kids to play outside, so I find myself going stir crazy some days. One thing that always brightens up our day is when Daddy comes home. The girls shriek with joy, and play this game where they back themselves up to a wall, then run as fast as they can and crash into their daddy who then falls over with them. This happens while I collapse on the couch and tell Joe how busy my day has been. (Secret: my days are never busy.)

Thank you Santa for snow!!!

This morning we had snow on the ground. Some might call it frost, but Amelia calls it snow. She forced us all out at 7:30 in the morning to build snowmen and go sledding. As you can see, we were limited to snow angels. Or rather, mush angels. It was definitely worth it, because right when we were heading inside I caught her lifting her head and arms to the sky and saying, "thank you santa! I love to see this snow!"

These are the girls' snow angels

And lastly, the girls were trying to do what Amelia calls "breathe my breath" (Blowing warm air into the cold outside air so you can see your breath) They did it right in eachother's faces.....to no avail.

Mary, thanks for the purple snow suit!!!
